MedNilam – Terms & Conditions (In‑App Version)
Last updated: May 2026 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the MedNilam mobile application (“the App”), developed by Alnilam. By using MedNilam, you agree to these Terms.
1.Use of the App
MedNilam is a medicine reminder app designed to help users manage medication schedules and receive timely alarms. You agree to use the app responsibly and only for lawful purposes. MedNilam does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow your doctor’s instructions.
2.Account & Login
To use premium features, you must create an account using your email address. We use Firebase Authentication to securely manage login. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- Ensuring your email is valid and accessible
We do not collect your name, phone number, or other personal identifiers.
3.Subscription & Payments
MedNilam Premium is offered as a yearly auto‑renewing subscription.
3.1 Billing
- Payment is processed securely through Google Play Billing
- We do not store credit card or payment information
- Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled
3.2 Cancellation
You may cancel anytime through: Google Play Store → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions Canceling stops future charges but does not refund previous payments.
3.3 Refunds
Refunds are handled according to Google Play’s refund policy, not by MedNilam.
4.Premium Features
A valid subscription unlocks:
- Unlimited reminders
- Unlimited medicine schedules
- Priority alarm reliability
- Access to all premium features
- Future premium updates
If your subscription expires, premium features will be disabled until renewed.
5.Data Storage & Privacy
MedNilam collects minimal data, including:
- Your email address (for login)
- Subscription status
- Local reminder data stored on your device
We do not collect:
- Names
- Phone numbers
- Addresses
- Medical records
- Payment information

6.Permissions
MedNilam requires certain permissions to function correctly:
- Exact Alarm Permission – to trigger reminders at the exact time
- Notification Permission – to display reminders
- Do Not Disturb Access – optional, for reliable alarms
- Battery Optimization Exemption – to prevent delayed alarms
These permissions are used only for reminder functionality.
7.Limitation of Liability
MedNilam provides reminders to assist you, but:
- We cannot guarantee 100% alarm delivery in all device conditions
- You remain responsible for taking your medication on time
- We are not liable for missed doses or health consequences
Always double‑check your medication schedule.
8.App Updates
We may update the app to improve performance, fix bugs, or add features. Some updates may be required to continue using the app.
9.Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Misuse the app
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service
- Violate these Terms
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
10.Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated Terms.
